What this site is

Portugal City Cards (portugalcitycards.com) is an independent guide to the Lisboa Card, the Porto city passes, and the attractions and transport around them. We have no connection to Turismo de Lisboa, the City of Porto or any other issuer of these cards, and we don't speak for them. Card names and logos belong to their owners and appear here only to say which product we are writing about.

The information is for guidance only

We check prices, opening hours, what each card covers and how to get around, and we show the date the prices were checked. Still, attractions change their hours, close for works or holidays, raise prices and drop out of card schemes, often without notice. Some of what you read here will be out of date by the time you read it.

Nothing on this site is a promise or a guarantee. Before you travel, and before you buy, confirm the details that matter to you with the attraction, the transport operator or the seller. The calculators give an estimate from the figures you enter and the prices we hold; they are not a quote.

Buying tickets and cards

The buy buttons and ticket links take you to Tiqets, an online ticket seller. When you buy there, your contract is with Tiqets and with the company that provides the ticket, under their terms and conditions, not with us. We don't take payments, issue tickets or hold any of your booking details.

Questions about an order, refunds, cancellations, changes, delivery of tickets or problems at the entrance go to Tiqets or to the provider named on your ticket. We can't change or refund a booking.

How we make money

When you buy through our links, Tiqets pays us a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going to Tiqets directly. The commission pays for running the guide; it doesn't decide what we write, and we say so when a card isn't worth buying.

Our liability

You use the information on this site at your own risk. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any loss or cost that comes from relying on it, such as a closed attraction, a refused entry, a price that turned out higher, a missed connection or travel booked around wrong information. We are also not responsible for the products, services, prices or conduct of Tiqets, the attractions, the transport operators or any other company we mention or link to.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says cannot be limited, including liability for fraud or deliberate wrongdoing, and nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.

Links to other websites

We link to other websites when they help, such as Tiqets, official tourism sites and transport operators. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Text and photos

The text on this site is ours. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page; please don't copy whole pages. Photos are used under the licences listed on the photo credits page, and photos marked as courtesy of Tiqets are supplied by Tiqets.

Privacy

This site doesn't use cookies, doesn't ask you to sign up and has no forms. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that stores no cookies and no personal data and doesn't identify you. When you follow a link to Tiqets, their own privacy policy applies to whatever you do on their site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the site changes. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, which applies from that date.

Law

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. If you live elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of the consumer laws of your own country.
