Porto
Porto card prices and what's included
The Porto card costs from €29.50 today, for the Highlights Pass, the best value of the four city passes on sale since the old card ended. It gets you up the Clérigos Tower, into the Cathedral and onto a river cruise for less than the three tickets bought separately.
Porto card prices and what each pass includes
Here’s each pass against the same tickets bought one by one, for an adult, at today’s prices:
| Pass | Price | What's inside | Bought separately | Savings |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Porto Highlights Pass | €29.50 |
| €34 | €4.50 |
| Porto Explorer Pass | €61.50 |
| €64.90 | €3.40 |
| Porto Culture Pass | €42.50 |
| €42.90 | €0.40 |
| Historic Porto Pass | €50 |
| €41.99 | −€8.01 |
So the Highlights Pass is the clear win and the Explorer saves a little. The Culture Pass comes out about even, while the Historic Porto Pass costs an adult more than its four tickets.
Is the Porto card worth it?
It depends on what you’d buy anyway. Even if you skip the Cathedral, the Highlights Pass costs about the same as the tower and cruise tickets alone, at €10 and €20.
The Explorer and the Culture Pass only save anything when you use all three of their tickets. If the Cathedral isn’t on your list, Serralves and the fado bought separately cost less than the Culture Pass.
To choose by the kind of day you want, the guide pass by pass is on which Porto card to buy.
Porto pass prices for children and teenagers
Under-4s go free on every pass, and on the Culture Pass children up to 10 do too. The Culture Pass also has a senior price, from 65.
For a family, the child versions can still save something. On the Highlights Pass, for instance, a 4 to 10-year-old’s pass costs less than the cruise ticket alone, since the tower and the Cathedral are free at that age.
Before you buy a Porto pass
A pass is sold for a date you choose at checkout, and there are no refunds. None of them includes transport, so for the metro and buses add Andante tickets, or an Andante Tour from €7.75 for 24 hours (2026 fares).
